'What's in it for the companies'

Companies have the opportunity to gain a larger audience of entry level candidates, increasing their volumes of applicants. Moreover, entry level employees are often untrained and unaware of the industry and the job at hand. While training is often found during the job, companies can rest assured that applicants from AccPro will be well versed and well aware of the industry, the job requirements, and the expectations, minimising the burden of training that can often take months. Applicants will make an immediate impact and are likely to 'hit the ground running'.
Further benefits include;

Ongoing support

Students will be provided a support contact to liaise with where required. Support contacts will include active members within the legal industry. AccPro are aware that each firm has their individual ways of operating, and so we will not advise our members what they should or shouldn't do within the job parameters. However, we will provide our members with insights and information to assist with their thought process and who best to speak to. In addition, we will provide further informal training and information packs to assist with their development.

Equality and diversity

Law firms have made great strides when it comes to equal and fair recruitment, but we can always do more. There is a plethora of talented individuals from a host of backgrounds just waiting to become an asset to legal firms across the country.

In some areas of the legal industry, roles are populated from networks of those within. This does not help with efforts in addressing diversity, and certainly does not do much for fair recruitment. Having access to pre trained individuals from all walks of life will break the cycle of internal referrals resulting in a larger audience of applicants and demonstrate commitment to fair recruitment and diversity. As a result, companies will be gifted the opportunity to meet candidates from an unrestricted pool and give greater depth in potential new employees.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Legal firms will have the opportunity to work closely with schools and have a direct positive impact on the objectives of giving more young adults the opportunity to gain good, lucrative careers.

Assisting young adults while they are still in education will boost their outlook towards their careers and improve their chances of gaining quality career opportunities, regardless of whether that be in law.

Many areas across the country are underprivileged, and often members of those areas do not possess the knowledge or network to pursue decent or desirable careers.
